One of many face painters at the Old Town Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Oct/2018 festival offering half and full face mask paintings.
The Old Town festival had a lot of sun and shadow to work with in and outside the main courtyard. I liked how the sunlight was filtering into the tent for this facepainter. It took quite a few shots trying to capture this moment. I was concentrating on her eye and hand for my shot and did not notice the outline of the face paint on the young girl being painted until working on the image in post.
